R. K. Cook's video: Grim Reaper Smashing Halloween Pumpkins

@Grim Reaper Smashing Halloween Pumpkins
For those of you hoping to hear music by the Smashing Pumpkins, my apologies. This video literally is the Grim Reaper smashing pumpkins. Grim Jim was bored to death (heh-heh!) and had a basement full of Orange Bulldog pumpkins (developed at the University of Georgia, dontcha know) from 2015 that were going to waste. Pulverizing them with an antique — and very heavy — wood-splitting maul turned out to be a great way to kill an afternoon. Three of them, actually, in horrendous summer-in-Georgia heat. (Grim Jim was sweating buckets and lost a couple of pounds each time.) Wouldn't you know it, Ma Reaper had to show up and spoil Grim Jim's fun. You know you're in trouble when your mother calls you by your full name — in this case, James Hellbender Reaper. (By the way, the hellbender is a way-cool giant aquatic salamander; look it up!) Any similarity to the classic Star Trek TOS episode "The Squire of Gothos" is pure homage. The music is an instrumental version of "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by the country-rock band Cotton Indian. (You can see the official music video for that song elsewhere on this channel.) Please listen with headphones or good computer speakers if you've got 'em! Sorry for the naughty bit at around :22. Boys will be boys, even when they're the personification of Death.
