R. K. Cook's video: Stranded Fire Ants Rescued On Georgia Pond

@Stranded Fire Ants Rescued On Georgia Pond
HANK WILDING'S JOURNAL: Red imported fire ants aren't beloved in Georgia or anywhere else, but when I spied a huge, boiling nest of them stranded in my rain-swollen frog pond one April 2015 afternoon, I had to lend a helping hand, ecological pest or not. A long, slender pine trunk made for a perfect rescue bridge. It was fascinating to watch hundreds if not thousands of the stinging critters mount a mass exodus to freedom upon the shore, whereupon they instantly began building a new nest. Does a fire ant sting hurt like hell? Does a cat have climbing gear? I say: "Live and let live." Now get off your butt and go wilding!
