In February 2017, the train was provided with the new LHB coaches. The Anga Express was introduced because of the growing demand for a train service from the Anga region of India Bangalore. Many of the software professionals working in Bangalore were from the districts of Munger and Bhagalpur. Prior to the Anga Express, they used to travel to Bangalore on the Sanghamithra Express or the Howrah-Yeshvantpur express. 12253 - Starts from Yesvantpur Jn every Saturday at 13:30 HRS IST and reach Bhagalpur Jn Monday at 9:15 AM IST 12254 - Starts from Bhagalpur Jn every Wednesday at 13:40 and reach Yesvantpur Jn on Friday at 8:05 AM IST. The train reverses its direction twice at; Visakhapatnam (VSKP), Kiul Junction (KIUL).
