I wanted to write this post as an open letter to all pregnant women. It is dedicated to my wife and our baby. So I’m just going to share this. I used to hear from couples that the journey of pregnancy is an amazing one, for both a man and a woman. It’s beautiful and surreal, an experience that is hard to understand and fully grasp without having gone through it. But it’s also a hard one. For the pregnant woman – the body goes through so much during those 9 months. It’s growing a human for God’s sake! Emotionally, physically – it’s an intense experience. I missed almost all the sonography appointments due to lockdown. But I consider myself lucky to have experienced the last one with you. It's just magical. Our entire world is about to change. Amidst all the joy and excitement about our future, there is also some uncertainty and fear. The question arises, “How are we going to do this?!!” The good news is, billions of people before us ‘did it’. And I know it’ll all be okay! In fact, it’ll be the ride of a lifetime. But I digress… You are so beautiful. In case you haven’t ‘heard it’ recently, please know this. Please feel it. You say that you are looking fat and chubbier, but let me tell you that you are more beautiful than ever. The mother in you has brought meaning to this beauty. The way you are now. The way you have evolved with our baby over these 9 months. The way you care for, nourish and love that soul within you. I say with absolute truth Shatabdi, you have never been so beautiful.
