He goes on to say “I’ve been doing hip-hop longer than I’ve been doing rock, and no one knows that because the rock band is what’s been successful,” He hints that the new album MCID is going to prodomindanley be a Hip-Hop record. He adds “I hope that people see what I’ve just done with hip-hop and the beats and the sounds”. After the release of their hugely successful 2016 record, The Boy Who Died Wolf, Highly Suspect quickly became known for having a big Rock sound. With songs such as ‘My Name Is Human’, and ‘Little One’, racking up over 80 millions streams on spotify alone, most of us thought Highly Suspect would continue to produce incredible rock records. Although there are elements of Hip-Hop in their previous material, singer Johnny Stevens recently said he doesn’t even like rock music and that the band had become bored of playing that style of genre.
