Footage from CSMA Boundless karting at Whilton Mill, Daventry - Tuesday 10th May 2022. PM Heat 1 - Literally been over 10yrs since i raced at this place - and took a bit of time to get back up to speed - but Kart No.24 in the afternoon was much more racy than the kart i had in the morning sessions - with better pick-up out of the slower corners and up the hill - which meant i could actually make some progress forward.... Had a close battle with Gary and Nick most of the race - with one point about half-way through where they had a touch into the final corner and i sailed through the gap that opened up between them onto the start/finish straight! Managed to improve by 3 places overall - and finish 8th from an original grid slot of 11th.....so was pretty pleased with that - and it was good fun! Went 7 10ths faster than my best AM laptime as a result - with a best PM laptime of 58.386!! RM ; )
