What if... What if racism didn't exist? What if inequity didn't exist? Perpetual colonial violence, Sites of colonial oppression and systemic harm towards Black and Indigenous Peoples too? What if that NEVER existed? As a father of Indigenous, Tangata Whenua children, my heart bleeds for our African-American families: champions of the campaign that should not have to exist either. None of this should exist... but it does. No parent should live in constant fear for their children's lives at the hands of those sworn to protect them. Nor should they have to prepare their children for racial attacks, social inequity, constant cultural degradation, demonising stereotypes, police profiling, legislative bullying, and systemic cruelty, oppression and disempowerment of our indigenous truths and complete disregard for our rights... yet we do... and have for far too long. But what if...
