RQ87's video: Mortal Kombat Trilogy playthrough Nintendo 64 1CC

@Mortal Kombat Trilogy playthrough (Nintendo 64) (1CC)
Playthrough with Smoke. This features a large character roster, however the Nintendo 64 version loses out by having less characters than the PS1, PC and Saturn versions. Goro, Kintaro and the MK3 version of Sub Zero are all missing. The classic versions of certain other characters, like Kano and Jax, are also gone. To try and make up for this, this version features one exclusive character: Khameleon. Whilst the game was a big seller for Midway, it didn't take long for MK fans to find out that, from a gameplay standpoint, it was completely broken, with all kinds of crazy infinite combos and Noob Saibot's God tier status. Beating the game with Smoke is fairly easy since you can use the same jump back kick, teleport uppercut, spear, combo strat that worked in UMK3. Unlike in the PS1 version, Smoke's spear doesn't work on Motaro, it goes right through him. So you have to get a bit lucky when fighting him. My tactics are to do a neutral jump, and if he gets close, do a jumping high kick and then immediately follow it up with a double high kick combo, then keep doing this. Another difference between the Nintendo 64 version and the PS1 version is how Smoke's spear works against Shao Khan. In the PS1 version, if Kahn gets dragged in by the smoke, he remains stunned for less than half a second, making the move near useless. However in the N64 version, the stun lasts a lot longer, making him very easy to beat.
