RQ87's video: Suiko Enbu Fuunsaiki playthrough SEGA Saturn 1CC

Playthrough with Yonmie (a.k.a Yungmie). This game was only released in Japan, and is a massive improvement over the original Suiko Enbu port. The main difference is that the game is nowhere near as slow now -there's a speed setting in the options menu, but the normal speed is mostly good enough. It's not perfect though -as seen on the second fight, against Gong Shun Sheng. The other major difference is that this game adds two guest characters: Mizoguchi and Yonmie, from Fighter's History Dynamite. Mizoguchi was also in the PS1 port but only in versus mode, but in this game he and Yonmie can be used in single player. Yonmie is a ton of fun to use, she's been given some new special moves and a desperation move, she's got lots of easy to do combos and is just a great character in general. Bring her back for KoF! She has a new win pose for this game and I think she also has a different voice actress than in FHD. Some of the backgrounds have been changed, and some new ones have been added. In the previous game, the Ruan brothers all shared the same stage, but in this game Xiao Wu and Xiao Qi have their own unique backgrounds. Unfortunately, the quality of the backgrounds has not been improved, and they still look like they were saved in JPEG. Mizoguchi and Yonmie weren't given their own stages, which sucks. They share Shi Jin's stage instead. Despite the intro stating ""Suiko Enbu Act II"" this game appears to be the same as the last one, storyline wise, as it has the same boss. The endings were changed to text only and the pre and post -boss fight cutscenes were removed. As far as I can tell, Hu Yanzhao is not in this game -he was a non-playable boss in the special mode of the previous game, but unless there's some secret requirement to fight him then I think he's been cut. Overall this is a much better effort than the previous game and it's a real shame it was never released outside Japan. I would love for this to get a re-release on modern consoles.
