The first Sonic game was released in 1991, and was a huge success for SEGA. The Genesis had been struggling against the NES, but Sonic really put SEGA on the map and made them a serious competitor to Nintendo, although they'd throw it all away within a few years. Anyway, here's a playthrough of the game, getting none of the chaos emeralds because I hate the special stages in this one, and I wanted to give Robotnik a happy ending for once. Also I have no idea how I managed to kill that badnik at 31:47.
