RQ87's video: Final Fight playthrough SFC

Playthrough with Cody. This port was originally released in Japan in 1990, and has quite a few problems. Let's start with the good things about it: the graphics look good and the sound effects for when you hit someone are great. Now onto the bad parts: the Industrial Area level was cut, there's no 2 player mode, Guy is missing, there's only ever 3 enemies on the screen at once and there's a lot of slow down at times. Possibly because the game had to be rushed to make it out in stores just before Christmas, or maybe the 8 meg cart size wasn't enough (the sequel got most of the issues sorted on a 10 meg cart). To change the difficulty for this port, you have to use a cheat code at the title screen to bring up the options, press and hold L, then press start. I upped the difficulty settings to the highest, if you want to full ending I believe you have to be playing through the game on these settings to get it.
