The last one that I was thrilled to hear from this combo (MDs) is Kalavaniye song. This tune churned my heart from the first beat on. As usual I was fishing for a rare song to post online. What I found this time around is that not just good ones even the mediocre ones are already available in you tube. So there is a lot of competition. Though this song is already available. It is not enough. I would like more people to find and listen to this song. Hence this upload. I came across this movie 'Maithanam' and didn't expect anything good out of it. Given that there is no SPB song, I was least bit interested. But when I came upon this song, I just couldn't stop humming. Along with I started watching the movie and I fully engrossed in the first half. Wish second half was more drama than thriller. MS Sakthivel or the actors Jyothi Raj, Swasika are completely new to me. In fact I knew none of the characters in the movie. But everyone made a strong impression in me. Especially Swasika who played this middle class college going (village) girl role so well. She is beautiful. Just her facial expression in this song alone is the proof for her acting. Thought the hero Jyothi Raj didn't have much of acting to do. It felt so apt for his character. IMO he looks like the everyday hero. The classmate you always liked. He is the next door boy who you can never dislike. Good movie. Amazing Song!
