Rachel Hardy's video: Goner - Twenty One Pilots Cover by Rachel Hardy

@Goner - Twenty One Pilots Cover by Rachel Hardy
Let me introduce to you the music of the best band in the entire existence of the world. Now, this cover is actually over a year old. It's been 'unlisted' because I guess it's a bit of a personal cover, and I was afraid people would misunderstand its meaning to me. I now feel I am ready to face that fear of releasing it. I hope this song brings a sense of hope to anyone who listens, as it is a great symbol of hope and strength to me personally. Here is what the lyrics mean to me: The lyrics may sounds quite dismal, but I think there's more to it. I'm a goner, somebody catch my breath... we're all humans, we will feel inadequate, some more than others. We're all sinners and none of us are perfect. Some of us feel like what we've done or what's happened to us defines us, and that causes us to fear, which causes us to lose hope in ourselves. No one can save us from ourselves. "I want to be known by you," is a cry to God. Even though we feel small, He sees us. Sometimes it's hard to remember that he does know everything about us, especially when we feel alone. In the chorus, Tyler wrote that even though he's weak and beaten down, he'll slip into the comfort of music, which lets him let go of that fear and express himself. He uses music as a prayer in many ways, he feels God's presence most when he sings from his heart. I relate to this as well. In the second verse, we hear about Blurryface. Blurryface is a character that represents the insecurities and weaknesses each of us have. Each person has a different Blurryface. I won't go into who mine is, but I definitely have one. This verse says "I've got two faces, Blurry's the one I'm not." Tyler is acknowledging that his weaknesses are not who he is at his core and that Blurry's main goal is to bring him down. So he asks for God's help to take him out. I hope this clears up the meaning of what the song means to me a little bit. If you like this, check out more of Twenty One Pilots' music, it's amazing. I'm so thankful for the message of hope that Tyler and Josh are spreading through their music. Note: the black hands represent insecurity in the things I make, like my music. It's something Tyler does. Please remember that there is always hope around the corner frens, stay strong. |-/ Support my videos on Patreon and see your name in the credits! -- https://www.patreon.com/rachelhardy LISTEN ON SPOTIFY -- https://open.spotify.com/track/50iymYUXMsi186tskCcGyE?si=4U3DtaDpSTKxf3OSVJG4dA (Also available on all music / streaming platforms) Follow me: INSTAGRAM: @rachelhardymusic TWITTER: @RachelHardy306 FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/rachelhardysings/ DISCORD: https://discord.gg/7PjaunU Need equipment recommendations?
