Rahn MMD VR's video: Stand and Follow Version 360 3D VR MMD Happy Halloween Succubus Rin Haku Luka

@Stand and Follow Version[360 3D VR MMD] Happy Halloween [Succubus | Rin Haku Luka]
First off, I would like to say that probably the best way to view this video is to view it standing up, so that way you can easily move to the model that you want to watch. If you are sitting down, then I can recommend that you position your center point at the model you want to view before you start the video (i.e. if you want to view the right model, simply look left, center the camera, go back to looking forward, then start the video). Finally, here it is ...... the poll video from 5 months ago. Whew that took me too long to do. Once again, the poll was done to give me a better understanding of the type of VR content that viewers would want to see beyond my nausea inducing camera videos. Basically, I put up three options and those three options were the main ways that I felt were other potential ways to view a VR video. The first option was just to have the viewer stay in place and watch the performance from one viewpoint. The most basic one, but the best one if you want to be able to view everything that is happening as well as being able to look around at the environment at your pleasure. This option got second place. The second option was to have the viewer be closer to the models and feel as if they are somewhat apart of the dance. It is the best way to get the illusion that you are in front of the model following them around as they dance. This option won the poll. The third option was to give the viewer the illusion that they are the camera that is swooping around the models to get the best shot of the dance. The idea behind this was to give the viewer a better appreciation of the 3D space they were in by moving around it while being focused on the dance so that way the viewer doesn't get lost and is able to just focus on the dance without needing to look around. This option got last place. Now I guess I did kinda of lie about the winner of the poll being the video, since this video is technically all three options combined, however based upon the results I tried to represent each option in this video. Obviously, the third option is just the camera starting with the entire stage in the shot and moving to location where you will view the dance. The second option is the fact that you are close to the models, giving you the feeling that they are dancing right in front of you, as well as following them around for the most part. The first option is represented by the fact that the models are surrounding you, allowing you to see everything that is happening, and the other representation is that you sometimes stay in place while the models are moving around or having one of the models move closer to you(thus enhancing the illusion that you are there in front of them). Unfortunately, I know that this isn't perfect. I know that there are a lot of problems with arms and hair showing up in your view space while you are only looking at one model, or that the camera seems too close at times and there is collision with one of the models arms. Also, I know about the problems with the lighting and the lines showing up, I tried my best to make them not as obvious, but I apologize if they end up ruining your experience for the side models. I know of an easy way to fix the lighting problem, but the issue is that the side models look a lot worse, so I felt like this was the better option. Thankfully, this motion was really only made for one model, so you don't lose much from having the models surround you. However, for motions that have multiple models changing position throughout the dance, I am still not quite sure how I will do that just yet. Either way, I hope that this video is a better option for those who don't want to sit through my camera videos, but still want to see my VR videos. Ideally, this video would come out one or two days after the the camera motion one, but since this was the first time I was doing this it took me a lot of trial and error to get it to this point. I have a better system in place for figuring out how to better do this, so in the future it should hopefully be better than this.
