Rail Fanning Central's video: Gitanjali Express tears through Sindi with Honk Treats from WAP7s

12860 Howrah Mumbai CSMT Gitanjali Express was running on time on a winter morning, It can be seen clocking 110kmph speed as it passes Sindi where Dakshin Express clears after a scheduled halt. Santragachi WAP7i 30586 was at its helm. Sindi is a city and a municipal council in Wardha district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Sindi has 17 wards. But the Attraction is Pola. All farmers in town celebrate the two days festival of Pola. Sindi is also known as Pola city(where Pola festival originated). Sindi railway station is important stop between Wardha-Nagpur central rail route. Gitanjali Express is a daily train running between two metro cities, Kolkata, (Howrah Station) in West Bengal and Mumbai, (Mumbai CST) in Maharashtra connecting the East with the West. Numbered 12859/60 this train belongs to the superfast category. This train takes 30½ hrs to cover the distance of 1968 km between Mumbai and Howrah while the return takes 31.5 hrs. This is first train which depart behind pure AC Loco from Mumbai CST after conversion of Mumbai CST to Thane from DC to AC. The name of the train was derived from Rabindranath Tagore's book "Gitanjali". This train goes via Dadar, Kalyan, Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Bhandara Road, Gondia, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur and Santragachi. The video was taken when it was temporarily upgraded to WAP-7 locomotive for first time.
