In this video we will understand the basic anatomy of pullups. What muscles are actually working in order for you to do a pullup. The 4 prime movers which have major contribution in helping you execute the movement are: 1. CORE ( Rectus Abdominis) 2. BICEPS 3. Latissimus Dorsi 4. Trapezius Regressions of pullup which has same muscle activation will be the most beneficial exercises that would help building the required strength. Below I'm giving a sample workout programme for a beginner to follow so that you can do your first pullup asap. *This workout is to be done twice a week* Dead hangs : 3 sets of 10-15 seconds Active hangs: 3 sets of 10-15 seconds Scapula pulls : 3 sets of 8-12 reps Resistance Band pullup (if available ) : 3 sets of 6-12 reps Or Assisted pullups (as shown in the video) : 3 sets of 10-15 reps Australian pullups: 3sets of 8-12 reps ( increase difficulty over time ) Negative pullups : 3 sets of 5-8 reps ( slowly coming down) Follow me on Instagram : @raajansthenics Study Reference : https://juniperpublishers.com/jpfmts/pdf/JPFMTS.MS.ID.555669.pdf
