Ankit Chadha, a Dastango, weaves research-based narratives performed in the Dastangoi form of Urdu storytelling. His writing varies from biographical accounts of personalities like Kabir and Rahim to Dara Shikoh and Majaaz. Ankit has worked with non-profits to weave modern tales on sustainability, technology and hunger. He has spoken on Dastangoi globally, including at Harvard, Yale and University of Toronto. ​Additionally, Ankit has innovated the form of 'Musical Dastan', uniquely bringing together stories and music. Ankit has also worked on Dastangoi performances for children, adapting classics including Alice, The Phantom Tollbooth, and The Little Prince. He is the author of the award-winning books "Amir Khusrau - The Man in Riddles" and “My Gandhi Story". Rajasthan Kabir Yatra (www.rajasthankabiryatra.org) is a 6 days-long traveling folk music festival spread across six rural and urban locations in and around Rajasthan. Organised by Lokayan, Bikaner and partnered with Bikaner Police, Kabir Project Bangalore, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan and Sant Dularam Kulariya Trust, this is a folk festival providing a space where folk musicians, artists, scholars, students and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, and many more, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion and identity. The three editions, in 2012, 2016 & 2017 were widely chronicled and appreciated. It brought together 13 artists, over 200 yatris from other parts of India, and thousands of local audiences. The yatra sees a deep involvement by local village mandalis in the organization and celebration of mysticism and music.
