Darbar (transl. Court) is an upcoming Indian Tamil language action thriller film written and directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran. The film stars Rajinikanth and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The background score and soundtrack will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while cinematography and editing will be handled by Santhosh Sivan and Sreekar Prasad, respectively. Filming began on 9 April 2019, coinciding with a first look poster released by Lyca Productions the same day on Twitter. The film is scheduled for release on Thai Pongal. For the first time AR Murugadoss will direct Rajinikanth and for the 2nd time Anirudh Ravichander will compose for a Rajinikanth-starrer.
