Hamirpur, Mandi parliamentary constituency in Himachal Pradesh are known as Rajput dominated areas, while Kangra parliamentary constituency also has an effective presence of Rajputs. The Shimla region has Rampur Bushahr, Nalagarh, Nahan, Shillai, Arki Rajput areas of influence. One third population in Himachal According to the 2011 census data, Himachal Pradesh has a total population of 68.65 lakhs. It has 95.17 percent Hindu population. Rajputs account for about one-third of it. Around 28.5 percent of the state has Rajputs, while the Rajput class is also present in 5.5 percent of the ST class population. The population of Brahmins in Himachal is 18 percent, SC 24.75, OBC 21 percent and other 2.25 percent. Though the organizations representing Rajputs claim to be 35 to 38 percent Rajput in the state, since the data collected on the basis of caste was not released during the 2011 census, there is confusion about this. About 20 to 25 percent of the officers in the Himachal cadre of the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Police Service and other civil services are Rajputs, while 25 to 30 percent of the officers in the HPAS and HPPS services are Rajputs. The Rajput rulers of the princely states of Kot Kahlur, Jaswan, Nurpur took iron against the British. Himachali heroes shine in the country Anurag Thakur from Sameerpur village in Hamirpur district has the distinction of becoming the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Prof. NK Singh from Una District was the Chairman of Airport Authority of India, while Dr. Rakesh Jaswal from Una is Head of Cardio Department at Fortis Hospital Mohali. Dr. DS Rana is serving as a nephrologist at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. Thakur Sarvajit Singh is the first Prime Minister Award winning officer of Steel Authority of India. The great warrior General Zorawar Singh, who was awarded the titles of Napoleon of India and Conqueror of Ladakh, has been the pride of the Rajput community. Sanvir Kumar, the Paramveer Chakra winner who wrote the Shaurya saga with his indomitable courage during the Kargil War, is also from this community.
