A beautiful rendering by K R Shyama Poet Sri Jayadeva was born in 11th century in Bindu Bilva village near Puri Jagannath Temple in Orissa. His wife Padmavati, was an accomplished temple dancer. He was very much influenced by the culture and devotion of Vaishnava Brahmanas. His magnum opus "Gita Govinda' is one of the most popular compositions in Sanskrit language, describing the divine love of Radha and Krishna. Jayadev, in this verse, through elements of nature, describes the Pangs of separation Radha is suffering from the agony of separation which a Gopi narrates to Krishna Krishna hears from a Gopi about the suffering of Radha due her separation from him discloses to the Gopi that he feels similar, in the next set of verses English Translation by Ramesh Krishnakumar August 2020
