@Trappist-1 System: A World Beyond Our Solar System
TRAPPIST-1 is an ultracool red dwarf star having a surface temperature of 2,238 degrees Celcius which is much lower in comparison to the sun that is 5,505 degrees celsius. Located 39.6 light-years from the sun in the constellation Aquarius this red dwarf star is about the size of Jupiter and has 8% mass of the sun. It is estimated to be older than our sun by 3,000,000,000 years and has a rotational period of 3.3 days. Its luminosity is 0.05% of that of the Sun, and with an apparent magnitude of 18.8, it is not visible to the naked eye from the Earth. TRAPPIST-1 has a life span of 5 trillion years, which is 500 times longer than the Sun. If any intelligent life exists in the TRAPPIST-1 planetary system just imagine what can they do in trillion years. check-out the video for more information...
