Kepler-90 star is located 2,840 light-years away in the constellation of Draco. Its mass and radius are 1.2 times greater than the Sun. It is a G-type main-sequence star and is 2 billion years old. Since it was the 90th star discovered by Kepler Space Telescope to have confirmed planets scientists label the star Kepler-90. Kepler Space Telescope was named after the great German astronomer and mathematician Johannes Kepler Kepler-90 is the only planetary system discovered so far which contains 8 planets similar to our solar system. According to the order of discovery, planets are named by adding a lower case letter to the star name which starts from the letter “b”. These exoplanets were discovered using the transit method.
