Taylor accused the company of only offering her $4000 to reprise her role as Bayonetta but the truth seems to be something very different as multiple outlets including Jason Schreier at Bloomberg reveal that she was in fact offered a multi recording session deal valued at $15000 - $20000. Helena Taylor countered for a six figure deal and residuals before negotiations fell apart and Jennifer Hale was cast as Bayonetta. Unfortunately Taylors accusations have led to harassment of platinum developers and Jennifer Hale. There is a real case to made for increased compensation for voice actors and more transparency in the industry but the murkiness of the situation created by Taylor has made the issue a complex one to say the least.
