@George Floyd "sacrificed" himself. Outage for Nancy Pelosi but not for his sister, Bridget. Why?

Both George Floyd's sister and Nancy Pelosi said basically the same thing: that George Floyd sacrificed himself and humanity benefitted. Yet Nancy Pelosi got skewered while no one criticized Bridget Floyd. Why the double standard? Neither woman meant anything bad, and Pelosi has decades of public service helping minorities. Why the petty nitpicking over a few words? How does the petty criticism and attacking an ally help anyone?
