On our global techno festival journey, ELECTRIC ZOO in New York City was our out of 50. If you don´t want to listen to EDm at all, just buy yourself a ticket only for Sunday! GENERAL INFO -if you´re into techno, Sunday is your day! :) -on Friday and Saturday we enjoyed the people & vibes and probably some music from the Sunday School Grove stage - everything else is EDM GETTING THERE -take the ferry from 34th street directly to Randall´s island -you can buy the ferry pass together with the festival tickets LINE-UP -mainly EDM -Sunday techno line-up (Hyte Party) was great! SOUND -pretty good sound systems, but the stages were pretty close to each other, so you had to find a good spot to hear only one sound system STAGES -Riverside (more dubstep) -Sunday School Grove (lighter EDM on Friday / Saturday and Techno on Sunday) -Treehouse (pretty much house music) -Hilltop Arena (EDM) -Main Stage (EDM) TOILETS -short waiting times -good quality (paper, clean, water etc.) FOOD/DRINKS -cashless system w/ wristband chip -one beer (0.5l) = $11 -diverse food options including crazy stuff like fried cookie dough! LOCATION -Superb! Who wouldn´t like to party looking at the New York skyline? SECURITY/ STAFF / MEDICAL CARE -very moderate control of bags -freindly and helpful staff, overall good service level as you know it from the US -some trouble at wristband exchange as they did not have enough early bird wristbands and we had to wait for almost an hour for this issue to be solved york city
