MY NICE EV THE MOTOR PODS Part 1 This project is simple. So anyone from eight year old Joey and his family to a group of friends can build it. We would all like to travel for free. This car (My NICE EV). My No Internal Combustion Engine Electric Vehicle. Can help you achieve almost free travel. You may or may not have to buy things for this build. HOW????? The idea/concept is simple. To build a car from stuff people would normally landfill. So we shall be using all the websites that people use to give their landfill items a new home and not in the landfill. Here in the UK we haven't got a lot of places for landfill any way. You will be asking your friends and neighbours if they have any items you could use. You will be more vigilant of the roadsides for fly tippers. Also take a ride or walk on rubbish collection days. You never know what you may find. BUT! If it is outside someone's house. KNOCK the door and ask permission to remove it. Until it is picked up by the rubbish cart it stills belongs to the owner. DOUBLE CHECK your local laws concerning rubbish outside homes. Some places will not allow you to remove rubbish. Even with the owners consent. You can even get items from scrap yards very cheap. If you have one near you it might be a good idea to befriend the owner and tell them all about your project. You never know, they maybe qualified in some field that you may need for your project. I am going to use timber for the chassis. The reason being I can get it cheap and quickly. Steel I have to save up for. Also children can work with wood more safely than steel. A splinter can be removed and healed a bad arc flash can destroy sight. The measurements I give will be with my fibre glass kit body in mind. The body for your car will be different so sizes would be meaningless. But by example I shall endeavour to show you all the work I do on any modifications to the car body. Then if you want or need to modify your body, you can follow my example. Remember you are not alone in this build. There are plenty of people on you tube who can and will point you in the right direction. If in doubt......ASK. Have fun and enjoy. Please comment good or bad. It is the only way I learn.
