Razor's video: Il-2 Sturmovik: Pzkpfw V Panther Counterattack

Now that the Pzkpfw. V Ausf. D Panther has been released, I started it up and ambushed the soviet attack in order to slow down their offensive l. A little highlight in this video: I managed to take out an anti tank gun from around 3.5km distance, give or take a few houndreds of meters. I'd say, this could be a really good example of how sorties will go: You drive with 55 kph on the road to the frontline, get a good position and snipe tanks. Then you'll push further, run low on ammo, get pushed by some more tanks, have your gun taken out and die. As for the Panther, how it feels: It is quite agile. 26 kph off road and around 55 kph on the road will let you get to your destination really quick. It also turns well enough. Reverse speed with 3-4 kph is... Well, not good. Fuel supply shouldn't be a too big problem, as you'll die before running out of fuel. You get 79 rounds for the high velocity 75mm gun, which performs really well. Both, penetration and ballistics are great. Turret rotation isn't fast but gets the job done. Armor wise, the front has good protection and that's about it. Side and rear are left to be desired with around 40mm of armor. Make sure you always face the enemy with the front. The Driver and Radioman have descent visibility.
