A brief summary of Romania's WW2 fighter, the IAR 80/81. NOTE: There is historical debate over Ion Antonescu's political ideology. In hindsight, it may have been prudent not to have included the pre-modifier 'fascist', although Antonescu did borrow from, and was allied with, fascism. In short, Antonescu forged a closer bond with the Third Reich, and that bond allowed the procurement of aircraft parts.
