Real Guyana's video: Real Guyana Threatened By Policeman In Heavily Tinted Vehicle

@Real Guyana Threatened By Policeman In Heavily Tinted Vehicle
Only weeks after wrapping up a campaign against tinted windows in Guyana which saw numerous road blocks and snaking lines of traffic as the police sought to catch the thousands of drivers who re-applied their tint following the last anti-tint campaign, here we are. Should policemen in an honest force be allowed the use of tint? I should think it would prevent them from being victimized while off duty but here's the thing... the Guyana Police Force are very far from honest. They currently enjoy the status as the least trusted public institution for the simple fact they often find themselves in the role of victimizer as many abuse the powers invested in them. Under such circumstances is it right for the police to use tint? Absolutely not would be Real Guyana's answer. I started the camera a little late but there is a policeman behind that tint and I only know because he got out of the car to threaten me then swiftly returned as he saw me reach for the recorder. Why was I threatened? The officer attempted to overtake another vehicle at the wrong time and ended up on the wrong side of the street right in front of me then refused to move so I would be forced to reverse. I stayed put and hoped the police would pass by when lo and behold, a policeman stepped out of the vehicle to tell me about my mother. Immediately, an answer to the question in my mind as to what could so embolden someone in the wrong to still attempt bulling their way through with impunity and disregard for others. Many problems in Guyana can be traced back to the sad reality the mechanisms meant to enforce the law are badly broken. Whilst this suited the former administration and the drug lords they courted because poor oversight allowed for rampant corruption, many Guyanese voted for a change in the way things were done. When enforcers of the law are so casual about breaking it then we have lost half the battle for the example set to others. The last time someone told me they would 'bus my head' which in this day and age means getting shot, it was another man in a tinted up vehicle who used his privacy to reverse down a one way street. Real Guyana snapped a picture and was then followed for five blocks after which our friend got out of his car and tried to punch in one of the windows. I also have footage of that incident and intend to post it soon but tell me, how do I report that man to the police when they are doing the same thing? How do I report the police to the police when the last time I did that after harassment and threats they simply killed the investigation and refuse to return communication? Just another day in the city. People say life is hard in Guyana but it is also very easy to die. Over to you...
