RedAkumaSan's video: Hot Copper Kettle Siskiyou Folk Bluegrass Festival - Crossing the Cumberlands Cold Frosty Morning

Rotary Club of Illinois Valley presented the Siskiyou Folk & Bluegrass Festival on June 24, 2023 at the Trout Pavilion by beautiful Lake Selmac near Selma, OR. It featured some of the region’s finest Bluegrass, Folk & Americana talents - Songbird Trio, Sequoia, Jodie Jean Marston, Hot Copper Kettle, Dangerous Lee & The Rattlin’ Three, and The Sunny Sky Boys. Emcee was Kuzin’ Keith Fuller. Sound reinforcement was by Slughaus Audio (Tel. 805-990-8620). Photos & video by Joe Ross. Pacific Power was a 2023 Platinum Sponsor of the event. Camping was available through Josephine County Parks (Lake Selmac Campground) or at the Lake Selmac Resort. The Rotary Club of the Illinois Valley uses the event as its major fund raising effort to cover costs of their many programs for youth and literacy. More Info: http://siskiyoubluegrassfestival.com Hot Copper Kettle took seed from various rootsy music ideas in 2021 in Talent, Oregon. Members had been playing with each other in different bands and informal sessions for years. It seemed timely to join together to sprout into a band. The joy, friendship, hours of practice and rehearsal, dedication to developing tunes with care all shine through the music. Founding members Ceridwyn (Keri) Ames on banjo and Heidi Martin on guitar weave uplifting harmonies. Both also write songs for the band. Walter Sydoriak on mandolin adds a third voice.
