In this video, Presbyterian author Mr. Collier presents a simply reply to the heresy of Lordship Salvation, which denies justification by faith alone by teaching the Roman Catholic dogma of justification by faith and works (Fides Formata). The main thesis of Lordship Salvation is that the Gospel in its proper sense is a call to obedience and self-denial. This is a terrible mixing of Law and Gospel. Claiming the Gospel is a call to obedience transforms the Gospel into a Law-book, it changes Jesus into another Moses, and it transubstantiates the Good News into mere good advice.
