Redd Arremer's video: PS1 Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden Uncharted Waters - Opening and Gameplay

Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden is a side story entry in the Daikoukai Jidai series of exploration games from Koei. Daikoukai Jidai literally means 'The Age of Exploration' while outside of Japan the series is known as Uncharted Waters. Gaiden builds upon the second game's world and gameplay mechanics. It features improved visuals and an arranged OST as well as new skills and ship upgrades, but scales things down with regards to the playable characters bringing their number down to just two, Miranda Verte and Pietro Konti, compared to six in Daikoukai Jidai 2. The Playstation version of Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden came out in 1997 and was followed up by a release for the Saturn shortly after. According to the Japanese sources, there's also a PC version.
