Reel Stories's video: Choice by Sandwich Studios

Lily Cohen is an aspiring doctor with her career goals set. Her plans are thrown off track when she finds out that she’s pregnant. Determined to stick to her plan, she decides to terminate her pregnancy. Meanwhile, her best friend, Sloane, is busy getting ready for an important pro-choice march, and wonders why Lily seems so distracted. Lily is ashamed and doesn’t want to tell Sloane what’s going on, especially when the only appointment she can get at Planned Parenthood is the same day as the march. Tensions rise and Lily and Sloane end up having a big fight. However, when Sloane sees an appointment reminder on Lily’s computer, she finds out the truth and goes to Planned Parenthood to support her friend. "Choice." was created by Sandwich Studios at the Reel Stories Institute Program. The filmmakers are Kayla Wong, Sophie Frey, Aya Troyer, Liz Tril, Bahar Karakucuk and Riley Blankenship. "Choice." has been screened at the 4th Annual Dancing Spider Film Festival and was made an official selection for the 2020 Bright Ideas Film Festival.
