Philippians 2:6-9 (KJV) 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Proverbs 22:4 (KJV) 4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 8:13 (KJV) 13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) 18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Luke 14:11 (KJV) 11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Matthew 23:12 (KJV) 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:14 (KJV) 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Proverbs 27:2 (KJV) 2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. Philippians 2:4 (KJV) 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 1 Peter 5:6 (KJV) 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: James 4:10 (KJV) 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Romans 5:8 (KJV) 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
