Mahua Dol village in Panna District, Madhya Pradesh, was faced with severe . The lake which was the main source of water, had dried up, depleting the levels. Even wasn’t available, in such a situation farming was nearly impossible. When (RF) formed the (VA) in Mahua Dol, scarcity was the first issue brought up by the villagers in the meeting. To address this issue, revival was taken up, wherein the lake was deepened to increasing its capacity. This helped to recharge the groundwater. In time, the land regained its and the farmers had enough water for enabling them to earn higher yields. Today the fields of Mahua Dol are a verdant green and the farmers are prosperous.
