In two villages of Maharashtra’s Parbhani district, abundant water is available to the villagers in spite of the district being declared as drought affected. While earlier the villagers struggled to grow even a single crop during Rabi season, today they are reaping bounties of wheat, turmeric, mustard and a variety of vegetables. This transformation has been possible because of the community’s relentless efforts in creating water harvesting structures, with technical and financial support from Reliance Foundation.
