Southern Angola - a land isolated by deserts and mountains from the rest of the country - is home to some aboriginal tribes which still live and dress in strictly traditional ways: Muhilla women braid their hair in 4 or 5 large pigtails and cover them with colored rubber lattice from some local trees, which then hardens and makes them look like wearing helmets. Furthermore, when they marry they start wearing colorful beads necklaces, continuously adding to them during their lifetime and never taking them out, not even for sleeping.
