Renee Maurice's video: Today is a day we all can live

I wrote and recorded this song when I was 16 - that was 12 years ago. Never did I think the words would be as poignant as they are right now, after yesterday, when a mass murder took place at two mosques here in our beautiful, safest little country of New Zealand. This atrocious hate crime has rattled our entire nation and we stand ever stronger with our Muslim brothers and sisters today. As our Prime Minister told the world last night, "They are us." Rest assured that all good and honourable New Zealanders will not tolerate this happening on our shores. This is NOT our New Zealand. To all those affected by the attacks in Christchurch yesterday, my heart goes out to you, and mourns with you. You are loved, you are welcome, you are home, and it is our pledge now to do a better job at keeping you, and every decent person living here, safe.
