Renki's video: Heretic II - Part 00: Introduction No Commentary

Let's Play Heretic II - Part 00 After finishing the first Heretic yesterday I decided it would be fun to try Heretic II as I've never even played it before. I'll try to document my journey here, without spoken commentary. Made by Raven Software, Heretic II was released in 1998 and is a sequel to Heretic from 1994. The game continues the story of Corvus, an elven mage who defeated the Serpent Rider D'Sparil in the previous game. Raven Software's Hexen and Hexen II continue the story of the fight against other Serpent Riders by other protagonists but Heretic II focuses solely on Corvus. The game is made with the Quake 2 engine and differs from the other games in the franchise as it's a 3rd person game, not 1st person. Heretic II is not available digitally anywhere as of February 2020. The only legitimate option is to buy the game used somewhere as I did. It's possible to get it running on Windows 10 quite easily but if you want widescreen resolutions, higher that 60 FPS, higher FOV and music without the CD in the drive I highly recommend these instructions: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Heretic_II The highest resolution I got working is 1920x1080 but that's quite enough in this game.
