Add chopped tomatoes and mix it well. Let it cook until tomatoes becomes soft and mushy.
Add turmeric powder, garam masala, chilli powder and salt, mix it well. Let it roast for 2-3 minutes in low flame.
Let it boil for couple of minutes until the gravy gets thick. Add chicken and mix well. Cook covered for 10-15minutes over medium low heat, stirring in between, until the chicken pieces are well coated with the masala. Add a pinch of chicken masala powder . Mix well and turn off the heat.
Place the banana leaf on top of the fire for few seconds. The leaf would have become wilted.
Warm up the porotta and keep aside if you are using frozen.
Take a one piece of wilted banana leaf and place one porotta and top in with prepared chicken curry. Place another porotta on top.Add fried chicken and egg.. Wrap it carefully and it will look like a kizhi, tie it using a twine or banana string tightly.
Steam the kizhi porotta for for 5 minutes.
Recipe Notes
Make sure the gravy should be thick, otherwise it will leak from the kizhi. Please adjust the spices according your taste. You can use any meat of your choice and make the curry.

Kizhi parotta has been trending on youtube, instagram and facebook for few months..We prepared our own kizhi parotta on our own style out of curiosity and thoroughly we enjoyed tasting it...
We liked the flavors from curry and plantain leaf, the parotta soaks up in the gravy and gives an extra ordinary taste.
Must try...🥰
Atleast once....
