RethinkDB's video: Daniel Alan Miller - Taming Tornado with the Thinker

@Daniel Alan Miller - Taming Tornado with the Thinker
In this talk I'm going to cover the Tornado web and networking framework, what it means to write asynchronous code, and why the two make a perfect match with RethinkDB. Many Pythonistas like myself wonder where to go when they begin hitting the limits of Flask and Bottle or want to write something quickly without all the vanilla Django scaffolding. Furthermore, first class support for web sockets is also a must when you want to advance past traditional HTTP to allow real time updates in the browser. Tornado offers the ability to write your code in an asynchronous fashion but getting asynchronous right away isn't an easy thing to do. I'll demonstrate how easy it is to write your first Tornado application, make it asynchronous, and then show how you can connect Tornado to RethinkDB via our officially supported Tornado driver. https://twitter.com/dalanmiller
