The first single released from their The Deed Is Done album, this is the Short Version taken from the US 7" promo single. The single peaked at only No. 81 on the US Billboard Hot 100, which was actually their second-biggest hit behind Flirtin' With Disaster. Perhaps it was lack of promotion, but really this single deserved so much more than it achieved. If it sounds reminiscent of ZZ Top's Eliminator you're not imagining things: With Terry Manning in the producer's chair (having engineered Eliminator) this album couldn't lose. Employing the same methods of synthesizers and drum machines, The Deed Is Done completed Molly Hatchet's transition to an AOR radio-friendly sound.
