In honor of the launch of Atlantis' last mission earlier today (indeed, the last shuttle launch of them all), here's a bit of video from the launch of STS-34 from October, 1989. This is the mission that sent the Galileo probe to Jupiter, it is the only time I got to see a shuttle launch live - and it was from the VIP section, roughly half the distance to the pad as the Causeway viewing area. I was one lucky camper that day.
