RickyG's video: A look at the new GUI in DF CONNECTED v2 5 0

@A look at the new GUI in DF CONNECTED v2.5.0
Howdy, folks! Here's a quick video to show that DF is still progressing, and what I've been working on recently! Since v2.5.0 will be the final Multiplayer update, I wanted to start getting some stuff done for Story Mode. This includes giving the game a major visual overhaul. I wanted to give DF its own visual identity from other Undertale fan-games, since using the same-old Undertale UI is getting a bit repetitive. However, I know how much people like the simplicity of Undertale's visuals, I do too, so I wanted to make something that was more eye-catching and animated while still maintaining the simplistic visuals. The result was this new UI! It's main visual inspirations were the Danganronpa series and Persona 5. I wondered what it would be like if those games and Undertale mixed their visual styles together, and the result is surprisingly pretty cool! Here's exactly what's changed: - The menu now has diagonal borders that move in and out. - A full body portrait of your current character will be shown on the right. - The different menu categories are now identified by unique colors. ITEM has a red menu, STAT has a yellow menu, and GAME has a green menu. - There are little icons to match with every statistic. - The STAT menu has received a complete layout change. - The GAME menu now allows you to mute the game's music. - Black borders now appear at the top and bottom of the screen when you're reading a dialogue box. - The SAVE menu has been upgraded with a new design and layout. - While you can't see it in this video because I'm in the Deltarune area, the save point sprite has been changed! It has a new sprite and is now rainbow-colored instead of yellow. This is a reference to the SAVE button during the final boss fight of Undertale. v2.5.0 overall has been progressing pretty well. With Master Quest, I've decided to change my focus on it from combat to exploration. There won't be many new enemies (because I'd rather save my creative juices for Story Mode!), but to make up for this there'll be more of an emphasis on the storyline of Multiplayer. I can't wait for you guys to explore it! Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for watching/reading!
