@Be Aatm Nirbhar. Boycott China!!! Can we do that? Tiktok Xiaomi Alibaba Huawei | All in India
Ever since this Corona Episode having direct or indirect connection with China, everyone in India says and forces upon 'BOYCOTTING CHINA'. But can we actually boycott China? Because its always EASIER SAID THAN DONE. There is a handful of Companies in China that have got a strong hold over the World, leave alone India. China quietly has created a significant place for itself in India in the last five years – in the technology domain. Unable to persuade India to sign on to its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China has entered the Indian market through venture investments in start-ups and penetrated the online ecosystem with its popular smartphones and their applications (apps). Chinese tech investors have put an estimated $4 billion into Indian start-ups. Such is their success that over the five years ending March 2020, 18 of India’s 30 unicorns are now Chinese-funded. TikTok, the video app, has 200 million subscribers and has overtaken YouTube in India. Alibaba, Tencent and ByteDance rival the U.S. penetration of Facebook, Amazon and Google in India. Chinese smartphones like Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Oneplus, Huawei and Redmi lead the Indian market with an estimated 72% share, leaving Samsung and Apple behind. In today's era of technology, fast communication and lightening service, India is completely dependent on China, as we, Indians have forgotten to be self dependent for basic needs. From a lower Middle Class to an Upper Class citizen of India, almost everyone is using Smart Phones and for sure almost 90% of the Smart Phones are Made in China. That is one way that China proves to be the Market Leader. And if we go deep into the lives of people of India, from Rich to Poor, we can easily feel that how China has got a strong hold on us. We do not see it but we must know that, at the moment, how much bad the situation is when ut comes to status of Chinese Companies in India. In recent years, Indians have fallen prey to the Business Monsters from China, who have invested directly in Indian Companies. That is the reason how Indians have started to live their lives as easy as possible, all thanks to the Applications on their Mobile Phones eg. Paytm, Makemytrip, Ola etc. Do not be alarmed or stunned if it is made clear to you that the applications that take almost all our space in our Phones, have, in real, taken space in our Life too. Here is a small list of applications and brands that we use for our day to day needs and the companies behind those Apps and Brands. Companies, Apps and Services like BigBasket, Dailyhunt, Healing, Paytm, TicketNew, Vidooly, Xpressbees, Rapido, Snapdeal, Zomato in the Sectors E-commerce, Search Engine, Media, Social Media & Entertainment, Logistics, Fintech, Aggregator, Others, are all owned by the Chinese Giant ALIBABA GROUP. Companies, Brands, Apps and Services like Byju’s, Ola, Doubtnut, Dream 11, Flipkart, Niyo, Gaana, Hike, Khatabook, MXPlayer, Mygate, Pine labs, Pocket FM, Practo, Swiggy, Udaan, again in the Sectors of Education, Logistics, Gaming, E-commerce, Media, Social Media & Entertainment, Fintech, Aggregator, Others, are the names, which are owned by another Chinese Giant in the name of TENCENT GROUP. More Companies like City Mall, Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Marsplay Internet, Oye! Rickshaw, Rapido, Sharechat, ZestMoney, are few of the companies that come under almost same sectors and again are owned by the Chinese Giant XIAOMI (Shunwei Capital). Besides these names, makemytrip, quikr, oyo, policybazar, rivigo, paytm mall, swiggy, udaan etc. etc. This all shows that India is totally under control of China with their strategies that work as slow poison for us Indians. The time has come that we learn from other countries that have started the practice to keep China in their place. Otherwise, it will be too late. It’s time for India to broaden the government’s powers to block deals that threaten national integration, sectarian harmony, border security, and cyber security and effectively deal with the looming challenge posed by Chinese tech companies. India has to protect its technology ecosystem. Successful implementation and enforcement of such policies will make the difference between vulnerability and security.
