RikkuSWE's video: Japan Vlog - Kamakura

May 2016 Video recorded in the beginning of May, 2016. We visited Kamakura, a costal town less than an hour south of Tokyo. We saw some temples, went on a hiking trail, visited the Great Buddha, and then stopped by the beach. Sorry I haven’t been uploading any vlogs lately! I’ll try to upload the rest of my Japan vlogs as soon as possible ^^;; —— Engakuji Temple Hopping off at Kita-Kamakura station we visited the Engakuji temple. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3103.html (sort of) Daibutsu Hiking Trail We then headed south to see the Great Buddha. But we didn’t bring a map, so we trusted Google Maps to guide us to the right place. Which they did. Eventually. First it felt like we were just passing through peoples backyard, but eventually I think we made it onto the Daibutsu Hiking Trail. It was such a wonderful walk! Even tho we might have gotten a bit lost there for a while ^^;; http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3113.html The Great Buddha of Kamakura (鎌倉大仏, Kamakura Daibutsu) Our hiking efforts eventually paid off and we got to see the Great Buddha. Almost 14 meters tall! http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3100.html Yuigahama Beach We then headed further south until we came to the Yuigahama beach.
