If you’re short on time, but want to see Malibu, take a drive to Point Dume. Incredible scenery, short, easy hiking paths, and you can stand on the same spot where Tony Stark’s home once stood. I wouldn’t say it’s a secret spot considering it’s so famous, but it’s not easy to find unless you’re looking for it. If you’re heading to Zuma for a beach day, you’ll see it directly south of you. Parking is tough. This “state park” only has about 10 spots. I suggest going on a weekday and not in the summer, if possible. You may recognize the area from Iron Man or Planet of the Apes. Both were filmed at Point Dume along with a number of other TV shows. Point Dume, Malibu really has it all: bluffs, beach, history, film culture, wealth, and scenery.
