Roads and Transport Authority's video: 2020 1 1 2021 Dubai Metro Route 2020 to start operation on 1 1 2021

أعلن معالي مطر محمد الطاير المدير العام ورئيس مجلس المديرين في #هيئة_الطرق_و_المواصلات، تشغيل #مسار_2020 لمترو دبي في (1/1/2021)، عبر أربع محطات هي جبل علي (محطة انتقالية مع الخط الأحمر)، والحدائق، وديسكفري جاردنز، والفرجان ويخدم المسار مناطق ذات كثافة سكانية عالية يقدر تعدادها بأكثر من 270 ألف نسمة، حيث أن اختيار المحطات تم بناء على معايير أهمها الكثافة السكانية وعدد الركاب المتوقع وارتباطها بوسائل المواصلات الأخرى وجاء تشغيل مسار 2020 بعد إتمام جميع الاختبارات والتجارب التشغيلية. HE Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the announced that , the extension of the Dubai Metro line, would start commercial operation on 01/01/2021. The initial operation phase would cover four stations, namely: Jebel Ali (interchange station), The Gardens, Discovery Gardens, and Al Furjan Stations. Route 2020 serves areas inhabited by 270k persons, where the selection of stations for operation was based on population density, expected ridership, and link with other transit means. Operation of Route 2020 follows the completion of all operational tests and trials.
