Not far from Corpus Christi, TX, we went on a quest to find "Boots" and the Spoonbill Roseate and MAYBE a rare glimpse of the endangered Whooping Crane at the Leonabelle Turnbill Birding Center in Port Aransas, TX. It's a GREAT place to see all kinds of birds and wildlife UP CLOSE!! It's also a peaceful, beautiful place to enjoy nature and an easy walking trail on boardwalk, gravel and cement. To catch an overhead view, there are numerous observation towers along the trail. And it's all FREE to go there!!!!
