Travel Date: Sep 2017 What is "Death Road" India? Well, I just named it after the BBC Top Gear Special which was filmed on a similar road in Bolivia. And I dedicate this video to the show's hosts. This treacherous route connects the remote Pangi Valley, Himachal to Kishtwar, J&K. Part of the route lies in Pangi and the rest in Kishtwar. The road this video is about, stretches from Killar, HP, Pangi to Kishtwar, JK. The "toughness" of this route can be gauged from the fact that, even though it is an inland route, far from the International Borders, it is still maintained by the BRO (Border Roads Organisation). A huge thank you to all the brave workers who keep this road open and functional year after year. 👏 At places, this road has been blasted in a sheer cliff face, and is only a few feet wide!
